Project Concrete provides excellent polyaspartic floor coating systems. Contact us to learn about our range of polyaspartic floor coating options!

When Should You Consider Polyaspartic Floors?

A polyaspartic floor coating can be used in various residential and commercial applications, including commercial kitchens, office spaces, warehouses, walkways, driveways, garage floors, and retail facilities. Likewise, you can use it in bathrooms, patios, laundromats, shopping centres, and salons.

Overall, polyaspartic is resistant to UV exposure, has high levels of gloss retention and chemical resistance, and has a fast cure rate. However, it does have its benefits and drawbacks, as do all materials within the flooring industry.

It’s a great addition to our flooring team’s product range and can be used in these scenarios:

    • As a top coat over high-film thickness coatings
    • As a fast-cure flake floor system
    • As a cost-saving application over a concrete floor

    Benefits of a Polyaspartic Floor

As an industrial flooring option, aliphatic polyaspartic floor coating systems are excellent. The main advantage is flexibility. These resins are often built to about 200 microns and are still flexible enough to shrink, bend, and expand with a moving concrete slab.

This floor covering might be ideal compared to epoxy flooring because of the colour-stable and rapid-curing features.

There are many products on the market, such as Rhino lining Floor Polyaspartic Coating. Perth residents and business owners should work with a professional like us to apply it!

Likewise, polyaspartic floor coatings are often applied in one coat and are abrasion-resistant and impact-resistant when compared to epoxy flooring. Plus, the UV-stable coating has excellent bonding capabilities, so it’s ideal for many applications and will offer ultimate protection.

    Why Choose Project Concrete

Whether you prefer something decorative for the concrete or simply focus on UV-stable options, our team can help you choose a floor coating that meets your needs. In most cases, polyaspartic is suitable because it is durable and offers rapid-curing features.

Are you tired of the worn-out concrete? It’s time to consider a polyaspartic floor coating because it’s durable, UV-stable, and decorative. Therefore, it’s suitable for garages and many other applications. In fact, we can often do the job in one day, which means you can walk on it and enjoy it without waiting for long periods.

Project Concrete is here to help you choose the best coating system for your needs. We’re not biased toward any one application or type of product! You’ll get advice and assistance to select something that will last for many decades. Please call today or use the online contact form to request an estimate today.

    Frequently Asked Questions

We realise you may have questions about polyaspartic coatings. Let’s answer some of them now!

Epoxy resin is one type of synthetic flooring system made primarily from reactive polymers. Once it cures, it forms a waterproof, tough, and attractive surface. Usually, it’s applied in its liquid state over concrete, but it can be used on other surfaces.

There are many benefits of epoxy. For example, it can be used as an industrial flooring option, there’s a sufficient pot life, there’s no colour shift, and it’s often touted as the ultimate protection in commercial kitchens and elsewhere.

However, epoxy doesn’t work well on every floor. Though it can be durable and is ideal in commercial and industrial applications, it can still cause the concrete floors to crack with the shifting temperatures. Overall, epoxy can’t expand and contract with changes, so it can often peel, lift, or chip..

Yes! Polyaspartic coatings are two-component products. Therefore, there are two primary ingredients within.

Overall, the two-component system works well. There’s UV stabilisation, so it’s decorative and durable in many situations. Plus, the aliphatic polyaspartic option is colour-stable, which reduces colour shift. This can often happen with epoxy.

Since the floor in a commercial, residential, or industrial area is often used frequently, UV stabilisation can be highly beneficial. This means it won’t yellow over time like epoxy can. Likewise, it’s durable and lasts longer than other options.

Though polyaspartic coatings are often seamless so that you don’t see the lines, it isn’t ideal in all situations. Epoxy and other coating systems might be better.

Though polyaspartic is ideal for commercial and industrial needs, is durable, and has a sufficient pot life, the material is quite expensive. Likewise, it could be slippery when wet and can’t be used in high-moisture areas.

I contacted Jon a month ago to organise sealing my workshop floors, he gave me an indicative price per square meter that no one in Perth came close to matching. We had literally just finished laying the slab and gave it some time to harden. Jon came out and ground the slab back to give the epoxy a texture to adhere too, then applied a flawless coating edge to edge. The finish is immaculate and ultra flat. The floor coating transformed the look of the space but adds an extremely durable surface that is easy to clean and from some basic testing, is extremely hard! Super happy with the job and recommend Project Concrete for your concrete surfacing project. Cheers Dan
